The Ohio Pawpaw Festival is a fun-filled, educational community event celebrating one of America’s largest native tree fruits, the pawpaw (Asimina triloba). This all-weekend event highlights the rich history and future possibilities of the pawpaw through delectable food and beverages, and a full line-up of presentations and activities that cover pawpaw growing, cooking, genetics, medical use and other topics related to sustainability. Special events at the festival include competitions for the best and biggest pawpaw, a pawpaw cook-off, a best pawpaw-related work of art and the ever-popular pawpaw-eating contest.

Discount of $10 off/day or $20 off/weekend offered to active duty/retired military, seniors (60+) and Albany residents with proof of residency.
Parking is free!
While it’s not necessary to purchase tickets in advance for single days or the weekend, it helps get you through our lines quicker.

Friday 4:30 pm – 11:30 pm
First shuttle picks up in Athens at 4:30 pm; last shuttle departs Lake Snowden at 11:30 pm.
Saturday 9:30 am -11:30 pm
First shuttle picks up in Athens at 9:30 am; last shuttle departs Lake Snowden at 11:30 pm.
Dam Parking 10 am -11:30 pm – shuttles will take visitors from the dam parking to the entrance of the festival.
Sunday 10 am – 3 pm
First shuttle picks up in Athens at 10 am; last shuttle departs Lake Snowden at 3 pm.
